Google has their own application called “My Tracks” (see link below), I have used it a couple of times and it works pretty well. You can integrate it into Google Maps, and make it public for your family/friends to view anytime online.

I only use it once in a while to map out the distance on a new running route, but I generally stick with the same handful of trails.

From what I heard, any phone that runs a 1Ghz processor will be able to be upgraded to Android 3.0.

Android is a smartphone mobile operating system, like iOS, BlackBerry OS, and webOS. It’s basically a very popular and powerful smartphone platform right now, and it is the #1 selling smartphone in the United States.

Basically the advantages of Android are that you can get apps from wherever you want, customize your interface however you want, use widgets (the little apps that run on your homescreen), multitask, and use Flash player on the internet.

Currently I believe that it’s superior to iOS, Blackberry OS, and webOS in terms of features. However, there is a learning curve.

Great question! I wish they had an app just like that for the iPhone.

But I can’t seem to find it so it must be an android app your thinking of. The only app I can find for iPhone that allows you to send a prank call is PrankDial. It’s currently only available in the US and Canada but allows you to choose from a selection of pranks and then listen back to the call. Plus, more features are coming soon.

I lost all my contacts on my android phone and I want to put them in a program on my computer and then sync them to my HTC phone? Can anyone help?

Android is tied directly to Google applications. When you logged on to the phone the first time to set it up, you had to use a Google account, remember?

Go to your Google mail account on line, import or update all your contacts, and that’s it. They will automatically be synced over the data connection to the phone. Any changes you make on the phone or the online account will sync with the other automatically.

This also occurs with Google mail and calendars.

Question by Lucas: What’s the best way to learn to develop games for the Android platform?

I’m a professional web programmer, but I’ve been developing games in Java and the XNA dev kit for the past couple of years. I’m interested in creating games for Android-powered mobile devices, but I have no experience with the platform.

I’m experienced in most standard web languages as well as Java, C#, ActionScript, and VB. What sort of learning curve can I expect to encounter learning to program for Android, and how would you recommend getting started?

Get the SDK
I recommend you using Eclipse with the plugin for Android.
