I been looking at some mobile (Cell) phones and some say Android operating system. What does that mean and what is better and the advantages of it?

Android is a smartphone mobile operating system, like iOS, BlackBerry OS, and webOS. It’s basically a very popular and powerful smartphone platform right now, and it is the #1 selling smartphone in the United States.

Basically the advantages of Android are that you can get apps from wherever you want, customize your interface however you want, use widgets (the little apps that run on your homescreen), multitask, and use Flash player on the internet.

Currently I believe that it’s superior to iOS, Blackberry OS, and webOS in terms of features. However, there is a learning curve.
