Question by Bob: does the Android operating system update on the phone automatically?
i am planning to get an android phone soon, which is running android 2.1.
2.2 is coming out soon, and I just wanted to know if i would be stuck with 2.1 until i got a new phone after my first android, or if there would be some type of update process.

It depends on the phone but if its a new model then it will probably get 2.2.
